Review by hotel critic
During our recent honeymoon at L'Obelisque Maison De Luxe, we found it to be a solid choice for a stay in Rome. The location is a standout, mere steps from the Spanish Steps, immersing us in the lively Roman atmosphere. It made exploring the city's landmarks on foot incredibly convenient, no small feat in such a bustling city. Our room was pleasant, clean, and came equipped with essential amenities including air conditioning and a flat-screen TV, ensuring a comfortable retreat from the day's heat. Breakfast was adequate, featuring a standard offering of pastries, cheese, and eggs; however, a bit of variety would have been welcome. A note for travelers—if you're driving, be mindful of the Limited Traffic Zone, especially on weekdays; parking is a bit of a walk away. The staff was friendly and willing to assist, particularly with luggage, as the hotel lacks an elevator. While L'Obelisque leans towards luxury, balancing its offerings with the reality of costs makes it a worthwhile consideration for your Roman escape.
